The small parts that make a big difference

Cables, rollers and tracks are the parts that keep your door moving straight and quietly. When a cable frays, a roller wears out, or a track drifts out of line, you feel it: the door gets noisy, jerky, or starts running crooked. Left alone, it puts strain on the springs and opener too, so a small part turns into a bigger repair. Caught early, it's usually a quick, tidy fix.

Signs it's the cables, rollers or tracks

One to act on quickly: a frayed cable is under a lot of tension and can snap without warning, dropping the door. If you can see one, best to keep clear and give us a call.

The cable looks frayed, is it safe to leave it?

No, that one's worth acting on. Cables are under a lot of tension and a frayed one can snap suddenly and drop the door. We can replace it the same day.

My garage door is really noisy, can that be fixed?

Usually yes. It's often dry rollers, worn bearings or a track that's drifted out of line. Sometimes a clean and tune sorts it, sometimes a part's worn, we'll tell you straight which one it is.

My door closes then reverses straight back up, why?

Nearly always the safety sensors near the floor are dirty or knocked out of line. It's a quick thing to check, we'll sort it and show you what it was.

My garage door moves unevenly or looks crooked, what causes that?

Usually a cable that's slipped or stretched on one side, or a track that's bent out of line. Best not to keep running it like that, as it puts strain on everything else. We'll realign it and check the balance.

How much does cable or roller repair cost?

It depends on the parts and the door, so we won't guess before we've seen it. The callout, quote and diagnosis are all free, and you get the full price upfront before we start.
